Westborough Public Works - Engineering Division

The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works seeks applications from energetic, team-oriented individuals for the full-time position of Engineering Inspector. Essential functions of the position include review of construction plans and inspection of public and private drainage, road, water, and sewer infrastructure repairs and construction. Desired candidate will be a problem solver who brings innovative ideas, is an effective communicator, and has a passion for public service. Applicants shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar engineering field and at least five (5) years of work experience in the design of and/or construction of public works projects, preferably in the municipal field; or an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar engineering field and ten (10) years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of training and work experience. Registration as a Massachusetts Professional Civil Engineer or Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor desired. Experience with GIS and/or CAD software preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. This is a non-union position, H-4, with an anticipated hiring range of $59,217 - $66,123/year DOQ.
