Westborough Small Biz Profile: Scoops 'N' Bites

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Manpreet Khurana has been dishing out ice creams for the last five years as a wholesale business and supplying to stores, and just opened her first retail outlet. In front of the production unit is now Scoops 'N' Bites, which also features vegan and vegetarian food. She runs the restaurant with her sister Balpreet Madan.

When did you open? March 5, 2017

What made you decide to open this type of business? And why this location? I heard that Westborough is a great town, and it's not too far away from my home in Southborough.

What do you like best about it? I love to see the excitement in my customers faces when they like my product.

Biggest struggle? Trying to get more awareness locally.

What do you see for the future? Good growth from word of mouth, as I am sure of my product.

Politics and business....how does government affect your business? No real affect.
