When Does Lake Chauncy Beach Open?

The lake is a hot spot for Westborough and Northborough residents. When can you start jumping in the lake?

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Some call it a hidden gem, a wonderful Staycation option for locals.

Lake Chauncy offers Westborough, Northborough (and a select number of residents from Shrewsbury and Southborough) a place to enjoy a picnic, play Frisbee, lay on the beach, and most importantly, swim in the summer.

This year, Lake Chauncy is open full-time from Saturday, June 18, to Sunday, Aug. 7. The beach opened on weekends as of June 9.

The area has a playground, picnic tables, restrooms and a roped off swimming place in the lake. Also, the water is tested weekly by the Board of Health, and lifeguards are on site during certain hours.

The beach is located on Lyman Street, heading toward Northborough from Westborough. Parking for 75 vehicles is 300 yards up on right, beach is across the street on left.

No boats are allowed to enter the water from the beachfront. Boat access is located off of Chauncy Street. All watercrafts such as jet skis, Skidoos, etc., are now banned from the lake.

Kids under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No inflatables are allowed.

Family passes are $55 for the season, and single passes are $25.
