2 Killed In I-495 Wrong-Way Crash In Westborough
A Braintree woman and an Attleboro man were killed in the crash — the only survivor was an 83-year-old passenger.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Two people were killed and one woman was critically injured after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 495 in Westborough Saturday night, according to Massachusetts State Police. A Braintree woman and an Attleboro man were killed in the crash — the only survivor was an 83-year-old passenger in the Attleboro man's vehicle.
Viktoria I. Staskievich, 43, of Braintree, was driving a Volvo in the wrong direction, going north in the southbound side of I-495 when she hit a Chevrolet driven by Adam Nazare, 27, of Attleboro, police said. The crash happened just north of Exit 22 in Westborough.
Staskievich was taken to UMass Lakeside in Worcester, where she was pronounced dead. Nazare was pronounced dead at the crash site. The 83-year-old passenger was taken to UMass Lakeside in Worcester, where she remains in critical condition.
