28 Wilmington Athletes named Middlesex League All-Stars

Here are student athletes who were named Middlesex League All Stars during the spring sports season.

WILMINGTON, MA—During the most recent meeting of the Wilmington School Committee, Athletic Director Ed Harrison announced the student athletes who had been named Middlesex League All Stars.

Harrison also added that it would be his last time presenting as athletic director at a school committee before his retirement:

"Seems strange that this will be my last appearance at a school committee," Harrison stated at the meeting."But as they say, so be it. I believe its probably time to move on."

At the Athletic Banquet held last week, six athletes were named as the award winners for the Driscoll, Cushing and Fagan awards.

Harold 'Ding' Driscoll Award (most dedication to sports): Kelly Souza, Kyle Nelson

Lawrence Cushing Award (given to senior demonstrating scholarship, sportsmanship and athletic ability): Samantha Pitzi, Matt Spurr

Dr. Gerald Fagan Award (most outstanding athlete): Julia Gake, Brian Cavanaugh
