WILMINGTON, MA — The popular Fiore family light display in Wilmington will shut off for the year at 9 p.m. Saturday, Charles Fiore said Wednesday.

The display, already a local attraction in recent years, was supercharged when the Fiores won a Dec. 9 episode of ABC's "Great Christmas Light Fight," beating out three other displays across the country.

The ABC episode was filmed last year, and Fiore rebuilt the same display this year so viewers could see it in person.

The national spotlight resulted in weeks of traffic backups, leading many to postpone their visit in hopes the crowds will die down. If that's you, you have until Saturday at 9 p.m. to finally make the trip.

The Fiores have brought in police officers to help with traffic flow. Charles Fiore, who spearheads the display, asked that visitors drive through as quickly as possible, to reduce the backups.
