Boot Camp Fundraiser To Benefit Family of Officer Sean Collier
Officer was slain while on duty for the MIT Campus Police Department

A "boot camp" fitness event will take place on Saturday, April 27, as a fundraiser for the family of murdered MIT Campus Police Officer Sean Collier.
Rx Strength Training will host the #BOSTONSTRONG Boot Camp at their facility at 50 Tufts St., Somerville. It's scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The suggested donation to participate in the event is $20, with proceeds to go to the Collier Family.

Collier, 27, was killed, while on duty, on Thursday, April 18. Law enforcement officials believe he was killed by the two men suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings.
One of the suspects was killed in a shootout with police in the early morning hours of Friday, April 19. A second suspect was captured Friday night and is hospitalized with severe injuries.
Collier was a native of Wilmington and a resident of Somerville. He was scheduled to be sworn in as a Somerville Police officer on June 3.
Funeral services and calling hours for Officer Collier are private. Arrangements are being handled by Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home of Stoneham.
A public Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 24, at noon in the M.I.T. Athletic Complex, 270 Vassar St., Cambridge.
