Burger Chain Chooses Wilmington For First New England Location

Adam Quinn, a Dunkin franchisee, signed a development agreement to open seven Habit Burgers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

WILMINGTON, MA — A California-based burger chain will open its first New England location in an under-construction Wilmington shopping plaza. The Habit Burger Grill signed a development agreement with Adam Quinn, a Dunkin franchisee, to open seven stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Quinn plans to open the first store in the retail plaza being built at the corner of Ballardvale Street and Route 125.

"Massachusetts and New Hampshire are burger strongholds, and we are eager to see Heidi Burgers bring our chargrilled style of food and focus on customer service to this area," Habit Restaurants President and Chief Executibe Russ Bendel said in a press release announcing the partnership. We’ve met few operators who have as much passion for the way we do business as Adam Quinn."

Founded in 1969, Habit Burger now has 265 locations in 12 states, as well as six locations in China. Most of it locations are in California and the southwestern United States. The closest Habit Burger to Wilmington is in New Jersey.
