WILMINGTON, MA — Two license hearings for Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant are on the agenda for Monday's Wilmington Board of Selectmen meeting. The agenda items, first reported by the Wilmington Apple, are for the long-awaited restaurant's victualer and entertainment licenses. The local chain already won a liquor license for its Wilmington location in July, 2018.

The chain, which also has restaurants in Andover, North Billerica, North Andover, Haverhill, and Methuen, initially planned to open in town in 2018. The Sept. 2018 Merrimack Valley gas explosions forced the initial delay, although the next planned opening was early last year. The common victualer license is required by the state before the restaurant can open.

Wilmington's Casa Blanca will be the chain's sixth location. The space at 207 Main Street has been vacant since 2017, when Chili's closed after seven years in Wilmington.
