Developer Pitches New Shopping Plaza For Wilmington

The Zoning Board will resume its public hearing on the proposal on March 13.

WILMINGTON, MA -- While Wilmington leaders have struggled to attract business to the central, Route 38 corridor, Ballardville Street continues to thrive. The developer Mapvale LLC plans to break ground this spring on a new plaza near the juncture of Route 125 that will feature one and possibly two restaurants, as well as up to six small stores.

The Wilmington Zoning Board of Appeals voted to continue on two special permits for the proposal until its March 13 meeting. According to the Wilmington Apple, which first reported this story, the board approved a similar proposal for the lot three years ago.
