Jamaica Plain Man Summonsed After Chase Through Wilmington

The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, August 4

· At 9:43 a.m. police followed up with a complaint from the Board of Health that there were too many dogs at a Marcia Road home.

· At 10:15 a.m. on Woburn Street, police arrested Amanda L. Provitola, 28, of 712 Woburn Street, Wilmington, on a warrant of apprehension.

· At 6:28 p.m. Burlington Police called in an active pursuit on Wilmington Road heading into Wilmington at about 60 MPH. The vehicle turned left onto Lowell Street and then left onto Commonwealth Ave. The responding officer requested the Fire Department to the scene on Commonwealth Ave. Manuel Evan Difour, 26, of 562 Centre Street Apt. 17, Jamaica Plain, was summonsed for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, marked lanes violation and failure to stop or yield.

· At 9:21 a.m. a caller from Horseshoe Lane said that a UPS driver delivered a cell phone valued at $500 to her front door on July 30 and when she arrived home at 8:30 p.m. it was gone.

· At 6:34 p.m. a Groveland driver was arrested for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, number plate violation for attaching to conceal identification, and operating a motor vehicle with a registration revoked.

· At 10:18 p.m. an altercation between a caller’s husband and another man happened on Revere Ave. involving the sale of a vehicle. The involved party did not wish to press charges for injury at this time.
