WILMINGTON, MA - John B. Bridges, “Jake”, age 68, of Woburn, formerly of Wilmington, died peacefully on April 28, 2016.

John was the beloved husband of Janis F. (Perry) Bridges, devoted father of John B. Bridges, Jr. “Jay” & wife Shawn-Marie of Lowell, loving “Bampa” of Sarah Michelle Bridges, Cameron Sweeney, Ryan & Sophie Brewer, and Caleigh Sweeney, Liam and Lilah Sweeney. Cherished son of the late Frank B. & Mary “Edna” (Carpenter) Bridges, dear brother of Lulu “Candy” Bridges & Linda Bridges both of Wilmington. Step-father of Ed Sweeney & Windy Sweeney both of Wilmington, Rob Sweeney of Idaho, Jason & Melissa Sweeney of Salem, NH, and Patricia & Ronnie Haddad of Leominister. Jake is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours in the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, May 7 from 3-6 p.m.
