National Drug Take Back Day is April 30

Residents can bring their medications for disposal to Wilmington's Public Safety Building on Saturday, April 30.

WILMINGTON, MA - Wilmington's Board of Health and Police Department are giving the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

With spring cleaning time upon us, the Wilmington Board of Health is reminding residents that unneeded or expired medications should not be flushed down the toilet.

Residents may anonymously surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for destruction during the drug take back event on April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents can bring their medications for disposal to Wilmington's Public Safety Building located at 1 Adelaide St. during those hours for this free service.
