OBITUARY: Charles A. Ganno, 72, of Wilmington

Our deepest condolences to Charlie's family and friends.

Charles Anthony Ganno, “Charlie”, age 72, of Wilmington, died peacefully on November 12, 2016.

Charlie was born in Boston, MA on July 27, 1944; he was the son of the late Charles and Antoinette Ganno. Charlie was raised and educated in Medford, MA and was a graduate of Medford High School.

Charlie married his “sweetheart” Marie Sutera in April of 1967; celebrating nearly 50 years of marriage together. The couple lived in Malden for a few years before moving to Wilmington in 1971 where they raised two wonderful daughters Charlene and Dawn. Charlie was very devoted to his family; he enjoyed every moment they spent together whether it was a family birthday, holiday, or special celebration; he just loved being with them. Everyone knew that Charlie loved his girls but when the grandchildren came along they were the “light of his life”. Charlie cherished being “Puppy” to Kayla, David, Anthony and Dominic; he was always so proud of them.
