OBITUARY: Ruth I. Gilbert, 91, of Wilmington

WILMINGTON, MA — Ruth I. Gilbert (Haycox), age 91, of Wilmington, died peacefully on Sept. 27, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Lewis R. Gilbert, devoted mother of Richard L. Gilbert of Shamokin, PA and Robert H. Gilbert & wife Theresa of Wilmington. Proud “Nana” of Kathleen Gilbert, Dianna, Sironi & husband Eric, Lisa Valente, Robert Gilbert, Michael Gilbert & wife Sharleen, Kristina Gilbert & Mark, “Great-Nana” of Kayla, Scott, Brad, Cameron, Thomas, Mark, Joselyn, Roman, Quinn, and Great-Great-Nana of Brooklyn. Cherished daughter of the late Earnest & Jean (Carey) Haycox, dear sister of Wilma Bowles, Gerald Haycox & wife Mona, sister-in-law of Rita Haycox all of Canada.

Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, Oct. 3 for Visitation from 9-11 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery.
