At the other home, police found that there had been a party with underage drinking in the basement, while the parents were home, the chief said. Most of the attendees had already left. According to a letter from school officials Sunday, only six to eight of the attendees were identified.

"Inside the basement the officers observed obvious signs of an underage drinking party," Desmond said.

The town Board of Health has not been able to contact trace due to non-cooperation by attendees of the party, school officials said Sunday night. The High School reverted to two weeks of remote learning, Monday, just days after hybrid learning began.

All people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
