Police Log: A Stolen U-Haul Truck Returned
The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 2
11:17 a.m. Police received a call from an Oakdale Road resident reporting a fire hydrant was possibly leaking. DPW was notified.Â
3:10 p.m. A caller on Woburn Street reported receiving a phone scam from an individual claiming to be an IRS agent stating there was an issue with his taxes and the FBI would be at his home tomorrow morning.Â

4:20 p.m. Wilmington Police received a call from Arlington Police reporting they had recovered a vehicle that had been stolen from UHaul in Wilmington. UHaul was notified and contacted Arlington Police directly.Â
4:44 p.m. Police responded to reports that a car hit a utility pole on West Street. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived on scene. The pole in front of 70 West Street was struck. Reading Light was notified to inspect the pole.Â

Friday, Jan. 3
3:16 a.m. A manager at CVS on Main Street reported three individuals in the store, with one appearing to take an item and leave the store without paying in a red pickup truck. The responding officer reported the item had been returned.Â
6:05 a.m. Police received a call from the operator of a disabled box truck on Andover Street requesting assistance being towed.
