Police Track Homeless Man Accused of Assaulting Family Member
The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, August 6
· At 2:31 p.m. a Burlington Ave. caller reported that she believed her vehicle was entered sometime overnight.

· At 7:21 a.m. Woburn Police reported a motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries on I-93 between Exit 37C and 38. The Fire Department transported one person to Lahey Clinic. Shortly after, a second vehicle was located about 100 yards south of the original crash site. State Police handled the scene and one additional person was transported to Lahey Clinic.
· At 9:29 a.m. a caller from Main Street reported that a trash truck in the area lost part of its load. Police located the vehicle and the driver returned to the scene to pick up the trash.

· At 12:38 p.m. a real estate agent reported that their sign was stolen from a Main Street location.
· At 5:55 p.m. a past assault and battery was reported and police checked Grove Ave. for the suspect. Officers put out a be on the lookout for a suspect, and Tewksbury Police were notified. The man was described as 5’7” about 130 pounds wearing a Ninja Turtles t-shirt. He was intoxicated and accused of assaulting a family member and intimidating a witness. Police summonsed Craig Lee West, Jr., homeless and 28 years old. He was charged with assault and battery on a disabled person with injury greater than 60 years old, witness intimidation, vandalizing property, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
