Silver Lake Clears E. Coli Test, Open For Swimming

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington's Silver Lake Beach was cleared following a second E. coli test and reopened for swimming Friday, the Health Department said.

The beach was closed for swimming Wednesday due to an E. coli test raising health concerns.

On Facebook, the Health Department cited recent rain and goose poop as reasons for the risk.

But in a second test, the results came back low, and the beach was reopened for swimming Friday.
