What's Closed, Canceled And Delayed In Wilmington On Tuesday

Patch has a running list of cancellations in town -- check back regularly as more are added.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Wilmington Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday. A winter storm warning goes into effect at 11 pm Monday and will be in place until 8 pm on Tuesday. Forecasters are calling for blizzard-like conditions and 12-14 inches of snow in the Merrimack Valley.

With a winter storm heading towards the region, Wilmington said late Wednesday morning that trash pickup on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday would be pushed back one day this week. Tuesday's trash will now be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday's trash will be collected on Thursday, Thursday's trash will be collected on Friday and Friday's trash will be collected on Saturday.

  • Shawsheen Technical High School is closed Tuesday.
  • All town offices will be closed Tuesday.
  • The Wilmington Public Library will be closed and has canceled all programs scheduled for Tuesday.
  • The May Center in Wilmington is closed on Tuesday.
  • Abundant Life Christian School in Wilmington is closed on Tuesday.
  • The MBTA's will operate on an "extremely reduced" schedule. More information is available on the MBTA's Web site.
  • All Massachusetts courts are closed on Tuesday.
  • Massachusetts RMV Service Centers are closed.
