Wilmington Coronavirus Rate Rises Above 4 Percent
The town reported 96 coronavirus cases over the last two weeks, up eight from a week ago.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington's positive coronavirus test rate rose back above 4 percent over the last two weeks, according to the latest town-by-town data released by the state Thursday.
The town's positive rate was 4.15 percent, up from 3.74 percent in last week's report. There were 96 cases, up from 88.
The average daily rate was 28 cases per 100,000 residents, up from 25.7 in last week's report.

But the vaccination drive has continued. Nearly half, 48 percent, of residents have been at least partially vaccinated, as of Tuesday. Thirty-one percent have been fully vaccinated.
More than two-thirds of residents over 64 are fully vaccinated.

Massachusetts reported declines across all coronavirus metrics Thursday, with the positive test rate falling to 2.00 percent.
The Department of Public Health labeled 48 communities as high risk for the coronavirus, down from 59 in the previous report. The full list of high-risk communities is available at the end of this article.
The seven-day average positive test rate for the state fell from 2.33 percent last week to 2 percent. The weekly average case rate, hospitalization and death rate also fell.
