Wilmington Coronavirus Test Rate Continues Fall, Hits 2.6 Percent

The town's two-week case count and test rate both fell slightly according to the state report.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington's coronavirus test rate and case count both fell slightly according to the latest town-by-town report released by the state Thursday.

The town's two-week positive test rate fell to 2.6 percent, from 2.8 percent last week. The two-week case count fell from 65 to 64.

The latest cases bring the town to 1,870 confirmed cases since the virus arrived.

Statewide, just 19 cities and towns were labeled high-risk for the coronavirus in Thursday's report, down from 28 last week.

There were 21.3 average daily cases per 100,000 residents of the state over the last two weeks, down from 23.3 in last week's report.

The commonwealth reported 1,410 coronavirus cases and 42 deaths Thursday.
