Wilmington Man Indicted by Grand Jury

District Attorney says he was indicted in connection with an alleged indecent exposure at Market Basket in March.

WILMINGTON, MA - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced multiple Grand Jury indictments Monday, including one involving a case out of Wilmington.

Walter MacDougal, 71, was charged with open and gross lewdness. The Assistant District Attorney is Courtney Linnehan.

The Middlesex County District Attorney's office told Wilmington Patch that MacDougal was indicted in connection with an alleged indecent exposure at a Market Basket in Wilmington in March of 2016.

In March, Patch reported that MacDougal, who was identified as a Wilmington resident, was arrested after allegedly exposing himself to an 8-year-old girl inside Market Basket. Reports at the time said he approached the girl in the deli area and police were able to identify him through store surveillance and his credit card.
