Wilmington Native Finishes 10th In Boston Marathon
Dan Vassallo, who now lives in Peabody, finished the race in 2:27:50, finishing 10th overall and in the men's division.
BOSTON, MA -- Dan Vassallo of Peabody finished 10th in Monday's 122nd running of the Boston Marathon with a time of 2:27:50. Yuki Kawauchi of Japan won the men's division with a time of 2:15:58, one of the slowest winning times in decades, thanks to cold rain and heavy winds.
Vassallo, 32, is corporate controller at Peabody-based GraVoc, a technology consulting firm. Vassallo is a native of Wilmington, MA. In the past, he has won the Maine Marathon (2012), the Vermont City Marathon (2011), and Philadelphia Marathon (2010).
