Wilmington School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conference

The first day of school in Wilmington is August 29 for grades 1-12 and September 5 for kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Wilmington Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (Teacher Professional Development)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/16: High School Parent Conferences (Evening)
• 11/22: Early Dismissal
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)
• 11/30: Middle School Early Dismissal (Parent Conferences)

December
