Wilmington State Trooper Thomas Devlin To Be Buried Friday
Trooper Devlin passed away Sept. 3 from injuries he received in the line of duty in 2018.
WILMINGTON, MA — A celebration of State Trooper Thomas Devlin's life will take place Friday at noon on the Wilmington High School Field, Wildwood Street.
Devlin , of Wilmington, died Sept. 3 of injuries sustained in the line of duty in 2018. He had a 35-year career with the Massachusetts State Police.
Devlin was hit by a driver while conducting a routine traffic stop on Route 3 in Billerica, July 26, 2018. He underwent six major surgeries over the past two years, before he returned home to spend his final days with loved ones: his four children and his wife Nancy.

Visiting hours were held Thursday at the Nichols Funeral Home. Following the celebration, Devlin will be interned at Wildwood Cemetery.

Wildwood Street will be closed at Route 62 and Woburn Street until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Wilmington police said.
