Wilmington Woman Wins 'Bikini Diva' Title At Fitness Atlantic Competition

WILMINGTON, MA -- Wilmington resident Marina Maher, 20, recently placed first and sixth in two divisions at the Fitness Atlantic Competition held at the Mohegan Sun including first in ‘Bikini Diva’ and then also a sixth in ‘Fitness Model Short’ Division, according to the Wilmington Town Crier.

In April, Maher,20, of Wilmington, placed first in the “Bikini Diva” division of the Fitness Atlantic Competition held at Mohegan Sun, in Connecticut. Maher competed with 32 others, placing first which earned her a ‘WBFF Pro Card’ which is a prestigious honor.

She also placed sixth out of 19 participants in ‘Fitness Model Short’ Division. The sixth place finish happened first, which gave her a sense of accomplishment.

Maher told the Wilmington Town Crier that her dream started thanks to her mother, Lisa, who is a longtime competitor and owner of the Boston Sports Club. Last year the two competed together at the same event with Maher walking away with a fift- place finish in the ‘Bikini Short Division’. A year later, behind lots of training and hard work, Maher moved up to grab that first place prize. Her pro debut will be in December at Atlantic City, N.J.
