Wilmington's 'Good Guy' Award Goes To Becky McGrath

Becky McGrath, founder of WOW, named Wilmington's 2017 Good Guy Award winner.

WILMINGTON, MA — The recipient of the 2017 Wilmington "Good Guy" Award is Becky McGrath.

McGrath was presented with the award at Friday night’s 49th Annual Good Guy Dinner at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus.

The Good Guy Award honors a person, male or female, who goes beyond the normal call of duty to make Wilmington a better place in which to live.

According to the Wilmington Apple, McGrath is a founding member of 'We’re One Wilmington" (WOW) and its Vice President of Outreach, was recognized for her volunteer contributions to the town.

McGrath is perhaps best known for coordinating WOW’s popular Festival of Trees, according to the Wilmington Apple.

She recently played a key volunteer leadership role in Wilmington’s First Annual Special Olympics.

McGrath serves as a Wilmington Memorial Library Ambassador and designed the group’s logo. MCcarthy, a graphic and web designer, has donated her time and expertise to create logos for several Wilmington community organizations, including Wilmington Youth Soccer, the Sole Sisters Running Club, and the Wilmington Educational Foundation.
