Wilmington's Most-Read Story Of 2020: The Fiore Light Display

WILMINGTON, MA — On Dec. 8, Wilmington's Charles Fiore was awaiting his appearance on ABC's "Great Christmas Light Fight," a light display competition filmed the year before. Fiore, 23, had been making light displays for 16 years, and this was the peak of his decorating career so far.

Fiore would go on to win the episode, taking home $50,000 and the "Light Fight Trophy."

Last week, we asked readers what they thought was the site's most-read story. The right answer: Fiore's display.

Between the preview story, Fiore winning and the successive traffic jams, the light display was responsible for three of Wilmington Patch's biggest stories of the year.
