Wilmington Firefighters Shave Their Heads To Help A Cure For Cancer
Firefighters participate in 'Brave A Shave' to help raise funds to fight cancer.

WILMINGTON, MA — They normally fight fires, but on June 10 Willmington Firefighters Local 1370 will fight an even bigger foe -- cancer.
On June 10, Wilmington firefighters will participate in "Brave A Shave," shaving their heads to raise money for childhood cancer research and honor three local cancer survivors.
The event is scheduled for 1 p.m to 4 p.m. at Red Heat Tavern, 300 Lowell St., In Wilmington.

Members of Wilmington Firefighters Local 1370 are holding the event in honor of three Wilmington kids who have beaten cancer:

Proceeds will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity which funds research to find cures for childhood cancers.
The event has raised more than $52,000 over its first three years.
People are invited to make online donations HERE.
More than $3,200 has already been pledged towards this year’s event.
