To the surprise of nobody, Edwin Alemany was found guilty Monday of of first degree murder, kidnapping and additional charges.
Alemany was found guilty of kidnapping and murdering 23-year-old Amy Lord, a former Bentley student. Alemany grabbed her as she left her South Boston apartment, taking her car and forcing her to withdraw money multiple times. He then stabbed and strangled her to death and dumped her body in Shady Book Reservation.

Lord’s family wept as Alemany was cuffed and surrounded by marshals following the verdict. He’s to be sentenced Tuesday.
