Cancellations Mount As Storm Approaches Woburn
With up to eight inches of snow in the forecast, officials aren't waiting to see how things play out.

WOBURN, MA -- With a winter storm was expected to dump as much as eight inches of snow on the region, Woburn Public Schools officials canceled all after-school activities for Tuesday. The School Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday is also canceled; SEPAC, which had planned to hold a program fair Tuesday said it will reschedule the event for April.
All afternoon and evening activities are canceled as well, the school district said.
As of Monday evening, the weather forecast was still in flux, but even if the storm delivers lower snow totals, forecasters believe a wintry mix could make for a messy PM commute on Tuesday. The worst weather is expected to hit greater Boston around 2 pm Tuesday.
