2 Woburn Robberies: Dorchester Man Held on $10K Bail
Bauer accused of two convenience store robberies last December.

WOBURN, MA – A 48-year-old Dorchester man is being held on $10,000 cash bail accused of two convenience store robberies last December in Woburn.
In Middlesex Superior Court recently, Robert C. Bauer was held on cash bail after pleading not guilty to charges of armed robbery and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
If he should post bail, Bauer must be under 24-hour house arrest, wear a GPS monitoring device, abstain from drugs, submit to random screens and stay away from the locations of the crimes.

His next court date is May 12 for filing of motions.
Woburn Police charged Bauer in connection with an attempted armed robbery on Dec. 9, 2016 at the BP gas station convenience store at 325 Washington St. and a Dec. 5, 2016 armed robbery at the Speedway convenience store, 306 Montvale Ave., both in Woburn.

Police were able to obtain video surveillance from the BP convenience store and, with assistance from the public, identified Bauer as the suspect.
At around 6 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2016, Woburn Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, Boston Police, Stoneham Police and Somerville Police, arrested Bauer on a warrant out of Woburn District Court.
Bauer is also being investigated for robberies in Stoneham, Somerville and Lynnfield.
