Federal Grants Up To $10K Available To Woburn Small Businesses
Woburn was one of 23 Massachusetts communities to qualify for special coronavirus-related federal funds.
WOBURN, MA — Federal grant funding will soon be available for Woburn small businesses with coronavirus-related difficulties, the city said.
Woburn was one of 23 communities in the state to receive special virus-related funding. $340,000 will be available for grants up to $10,000.
For-profit businesses with five or fewer employees, one of whom owns the business, will be eligible. Certain business types including real estate, chains, liquor stores, weapons dealers, lobbyists and cannabis-related businesses are excluded.

The city expects that 30-40 businesses will qualify. The application process is not yet open, but will be through the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation, likely within two weeks.
