Hockey Team Honors High School Star Athletes Killed in Crash

High school hockey teams are honoring the Falmouth teens who tragically died last week.

WOBURN— Both Woburn Memorial High School girl's and boy's ice hockey teams paid tribute to two Falmouth High School star athletes who recently died in a crash on Dec. 22. Seventeen-year-old James Lavin and Owen Higgins were driving home from hockey practice when Lavin veered off the road and hit a row of trees. Both died as a result of the accident. Regional hockey teams are hanging up jersey numbers 10 and 19, Lavin and Higgins' numbers.

Mike Bonish, the Assistant Coach for Boys Varsity Hockey wrote online, "Woburn Hockey did our part today to remember Owen & James of Falmouth High School Clippers. #falmouthstrong The hockey world is strong and is praying for you."
