Horn Pond in Woburn to Offer Summer Kayak Rentals

Coast to Coast Paddle, the North Shore-based kayak and stand up paddleboard tour and rental company, has announced their expansion to Woburn beginning this Memorial Day weekend. Located on scenic, family-friendly Horn Pond, Coast to Coast will offer single and tandem kayak hourly rentals for groups and individuals. In partnership with the Woburn Recreation Department, Coast to Coast will be operating at their new Horn Pond location 7 days a week through Labor Day weekend.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Woburn Recreation Department to share our love of kayaking with the Woburn community,” said Aaron Mearns, owner of Coast to Coast Paddle. “Horn Pond’s protected waters make it a perfect location for first time kayakers, and its many coves, submerged island grove and scenic shoreline make it an exciting destination for adventurers of all ages. Kayaking is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors, have some fun, get a little exercise, and relax on the water.”

Coast to Coast’s Horn Pond location is adjacent to the 500-acre Horn Pond Conservation Area and it features plenty of free parking and easy access to the water. A Coast to Coast kiosk will be set up right at the water’s edge making access to the kayaks as simple as possible. “Our kayaks are incredibly stable and family friendly,” explained Mearns. “No experience is necessary to paddle in a kayak, just the willingness to have a really fun time on the water!”

Woburn is Coast to Coast’s newest location to offer summer kayak rentals. Operating since 2014, Coast to Coast Paddle also offers kayak and standup paddleboard rentals, lessons, tours and group paddles at their other two locations in Salem, MA and Beverly, MA.
