Lutheran Church of the Redeemer to Host Forum on Race Relations
The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer's upcoming forum is targeting race relations through personal experiences and identifying challenges.

From SCI Woburn: The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, in collaboration with Social Capital In (SCI), will be hosting the Second Community Forum on Race Relations on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This will be the second forum of its kind, following the first which was held at St. John’s Baptist Church.
The purpose of this forum is to delve even deeper into the issue of race relations, through sharing experiences and identifying challenges. The forum will be in the form of small group discussions using a facilitation process that focuses on sharing and listening to each other’s stories. We will discuss personal stories related to the topic and identify challenges we face here in Woburn. We hope to end the forum with next steps that we as individuals can take to address race relations in our community.
Community members of all ages are welcome to attend. Though hosted by the Lutheran Church, this forum is a secular event and open to everyone. Moderators for this event will include Ron Walker from St. John’s Baptist Church, David Crowley from SCI, and Rev. Yoo-Yun Cho-Chang, and Charles Pfeifer from the United Methodist Church.
