Person Hit, Killed By Train At Woburn's Mishawum Station

A male person of unknown age was struck "while intentionally on the right of way," transit police said.

WOBURN, MA — A person was hit and killed by a train at Woburn's Mishawum commuter rail station, Friday, transit police confirmed.

MBTA transit police officers and Woburn Fire and EMS responded to a call around 4:15 p.m. of a person potentially hit by a commuter rail train.

A male, of unknown age, was struck by a northbound train "while intentionally on the right of way," police said in a news release.

He was pronounced dead.

Transit police are investigating but foul play is not suspected.
