Medford Sees Highest Christmas Eve Temperatures Ever
Medford has broken the original temperature record by eight degrees.

The city of Medford isn’t exactly experiencing a white Christmas, but many did not expect to shatter any temperature records.
Medford’s 69 degree temperature on Thursday disintegrated the previous Christmas Eve high temperature record of 61 degrees set back in 1996 by eight degrees, according to Intellicast. Today’s temperatures are also the seventh-highest marks ever recorded in Medford in the month of December.

However, it seems that Medford may not be able to break its Christmas Day records this year. Weather.com currently projects highs of 59 degrees on Friday, falling short of the 65 degree temperatures recorded in 1889 by six degrees.
The Wall Street Journal reports on the cause of the unseasonably warm weather.
