Overnight Work In Woburn, Bedford Will Cause Delays
MassDOT said it will have rolling roadblocks as crews work on Route 128 and 3.

From MassDOT:The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that there will be temporary overnight lane closures and rolling roadblocks on varying sections of Route 128/I-95 north and southbound and Route 3 southbound in Woburn and Bedford beginning the evening of Sunday, December 9, and continuing each night through the morning of Wednesday, December 12.
The location and timing of these overnight impacts is as follows:
· In Woburn on Route I-95/128 northbound between Exit 34 (Winn Street) and Exit 35 (Route 38) on the evening of Sunday, December 9,
· In Woburn on Route I-95/128 southbound between Exit 35 (Route 38) and Exit 34 (Winn Street) on the evening of Monday, December 10,
· In Bedford on Route 3 southbound between Exit 27 (Concord Road) and Exit 26 (Route 62 Burlington Road) on the evening of Tuesday, December 11.
The varying lane closures will be put in place each evening between 10:00 p.m., and 5:00 a.m., and rolling road blocks will utilized after midnight each night as needed. All lanes will be re-opened for travel by 5:00 a.m. each morning. These temporary off-peak traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to safely and effectively install new overhead variable message sign structures.
Signs, traffic control devices and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
This work is being conducted as part of a $2.8 million project to install new variable message signs and related Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components along various highways.
