Survey Says North Andover Residents Lose Power, A Lot
Fewer than 1% of respondents to a town-sponsored survey said they had not lost power in the past year.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Just 0.8% of the 762 respondents to an unscientific survey by the North Andover Town Manager’s Office had experienced no loss of electricity in the past year. Meanwhile, close to 80% of respondents had experienced 3 or more outages. The results of the survey also show that power outages in North Andover tend to be long, with 67.8% of respondents saying the average duration of power outages they experienced was 12 hours or more.
That's in large part thanks to Nor'Easters last fall and winter. But the fact remains that part of living in North Andover is living with extended power outages. And despite the outages, 36.9% of respondents still rated their electric service as "reliable" or "very reliable."
The full survey results are available on the town's Website. The town also posted a link to an online emergency kit with information on electric service and power outages in North Andover.
