This Is What Patch Readers Buy In The Pre-Storm Supermarket Rush
During the last snowstorm, we asked Woburn Patch readers what items they stocked up on before a storm. Here's what they told us.

WOBURN, MA -- Around the same time the National Weather Service was reporting that snow had reached the 16-inch mark in the last snowstorm, we asked Woburn Patch readers what items they had stocked up on in the supermarket rush the day before and whether or not they had actually used those items. Now, with another snowstorm predicted for Wednesday, those supermarkets are once again packed with people are packed with people buying milk, bread and whatever else they think they are going to need to weather a day of being housebound.
Here are some of our favorite answers from the question we posed on our Facebook page last week. We also asked them to come clean and tell us whether or not they had used the items they bought. Think twice before you head out to the store to buy these items and ask yourself, "Do I really need ______?"
- "A Harrows chicken pie and beer. The pie is in the oven and the six pack is showing signs of use." -- Jennifer Jones
- "Taco shells...Snow or no snow, it’s still Tuesday!" -- Marisa Schlid
- "Blunts and beer!" -- Hugo Teixeira
- "Honestly just the usual gallon of milk and wasn't because of storm. Grabbed hot dog rolls and they're still sitting on kitchen table in the same spot I sat them down on because kids had no interest in them." -- Mary Mohia
- "Wine, wine and more wine." -- Kim Judge
- "Yes I did eat the whole box of cinnamon sugar donuts from market basket. No regrets." -- Eric Richburg
- "Couldn't find a parking spot so didn't bother." -- Jennifer Grant
- "No stock up trip for me. I haven’t run out of what I picked up from the last snowpocalypse emergency run." -- Lauren Ziemba
