WOBURN, MA — One of the most highly-anticipated mixed martial arts fights in the history of the sport is finally here, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship will take its famous octagon to Madison Square Garden for the first time in the sports history. The card will feature three title fights with big names sprinkled throughout.

The main event will feature a historic bout between 145-pound champion "The Notorious" Conor McGregor and 155-pound champion Eddie Alvarez. McGregor will be challenging for Alvarez's lightweight title, and if he is victorious, he will become the first fighter to hold two world championship belts consecutively.

Also on the fight card will be a welterweight title contest between 170-pound champion Tyron "The Chosen One" Woodley and Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson. In addition 115-pound champion Joanna Jedrezejczyk will defend her championship belt against fellow Polish countrywoman Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
