Woburn Chick-fil-A Ready For April Opening
Chick-fil-A scheduled a hiring fair for this weekend to fill out the remaining positions at the new Woburn store.

WOBURN, MA — Chick-fil-A, the fast food chicken restaurant with a love-it-or-hate-it following, is on schedule to open its newest Massachusetts location in Woburn next month. The company is holding hiring fairs this weekend to round out the staff for the store, which is part of the Washington Landing redevelopment on Washington Street. The development also includes a hotel and other restaurant spaces.
The Woburn location will be the 13th Chick-fil-A to open in Massachusetts, but the first freestanding store inside of the Route 128 belt. The company is also planning to open its first location in Boston this year. In 2012, then Mayor Thomas Menino rejected the chain after CEO Dan Cathy made comments opposing gay marriage.
The chain is operated under Christian values, with all locations closed on Sundays.
