Woburn Memorial High Goes Remote Due To 14 Coronavirus Cases

WOBURN, MA — Woburn Memorial High School transitioned to remote learning Monday due to recent coronavirus cases.

Eight students and six staff at the school have active cases of the virus, Superintendent Matthew Crowley said in a letter to parents Sunday. The district does not have any evidence of in-school transmission, he said.

The school will be remote for one week, Crowley said. There was an increase in cases at the school over the weekend, he said.

There are also five students and one staff cases at Reeves, two student cases at Hurld-Wyman and four student cases at the Kennedy middle School.

The district does not identify the positive cases, but close contacts have been notified and are required to self-quarantine for two weeks.
