Woburn Positive Coronavirus Test Rate Falls Sharply

The city's positive test rate and case count both fell over the last week.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's positive coronavirus test rate fell more than a percentage point over the last week, according to the latest town-by-town coronavirus data released by the state Thursday.

The city's two-week positive test rate was 3.6 percent, down from 4.9 percent in last week's report. The city had 195 cases over that period, versus 285 last week.

The city remained at moderate risk for infection, or yellow, according to the state's risk classification system.

The town-by-town report labeled 110 Massachusetts communities as high risk for the virus, down from 153 last week, as positive test rates fell in more than three-quarters of cities and town.
