Woburn Resident Named to Alzheimer's Association Position

Melody Bushmich has been named early stage engagement coordinator.

Melody Bushmich of Woburn has been named early stage engagement coordinator of the Alzheimer’s Association®, Massachusetts /New Hampshire Chapter.

Bushmich, graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, joins the Association after spending the two years as a program director for an Assistant Living in Brookline.

“I wanted to work for the Alzheimer’s Association to have a mission driven focus on my work,” said Bushmich. “ said Bushmich. “Having been affected not only professionally but personally during my grandfather’s journey with Alzheimer’s, I want to contribute towards the efforts to change the future of this disease.“

As the Early Stage Engagement Coordinator, Bushmich will be planning social engagement events for individuals in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and their care partners. For more information on the early stage social engagement events visit alzmass.org/earlystage/ or call 800.272.3900.

“Melody brings wonderful enthusiasm and a great sense of fun to her work with our families,” said Catherine Ricketson, Early Stage Support Program Manager. “We are looking forward to offering engaging activities year-round under Melody’s leadership.”

“The program will create a stigma free environment for diagnosed individuals as an opportunity to form much needed bonds. I’m excited to be a part of such an important and empowering experience.” said Bushminch.
