What's Closed, Canceled And Delayed In Woburn On Tuesday

Patch has a running list of cancellations in town -- check back regularly as more are added.

WOBURN, MA -- Woburn Public Schools will be closed Tuesday and the city said trash collection will be postponed. The trash collection schedule for the remainder of the week will be pushed back one day. The city also said it will implement a snow emergency parking ban at midnight Monday night.

A National Weather Service winter storm warning goes into effect at 11 pm Monday and will be in place until 8 pm on Tuesday. Forecasters are calling for blizzard-like conditions and 12-18 inches of snow in the greater Boston.

The city will post a notice on its Website when the snow emergency is lifted. Vehicles have to removed from the street during snow emergencies. The list of cancellations is mounting by the hour. Woburn Patch will update this list as more information becomes available:

  • City Hall is closed on Tuesday, March 13, and scheduled to reopen during regular business hours on Wednesday, March 14.
  • The Woburn Planning Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, has been cancelled, and moved to Tuesday, March 27, 2018, beginning at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
  • Woburn Public Library will be closed Tuesday.
  • All Woburn Recreation Programs for are canceled, and the Woburn Senior Center is closed, and related transportation and other services are suspended for the day.
  • The Woburn Rotary Club canceled its lunch scheduled for Tuesday.
  • The MBTA's will operate on an "extremely reduced" schedule. More information is available on the MBTA's Web site.
  • All Massachusetts courts are closed on Tuesday.
  • Massachusetts RMV Service Centers are closed.

  • For loss of power, residents are asked to contact Eversource at 800-592-2000.
