Woburn Summer Recreation Programs To Go Forward
Programming will be announced Monday, and registration will begin two days later.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn Recreation Department summer programming will be announced Monday, the department announced Friday. Recreation facilities including the basketball courts and fields, playgrounds, and Spray Park at the Clapp are already open, and the department plans to reopen others as the state's reopening continues.
Summer programs will last six weeks and have limited group sizes, the city said. Registration will begin Wednesday, according to the announcement.
The pools will also reopen for a shortened season, the department said, but they have not announced when, yet.

Strict measures to prevent the virus's spread remain in place, including mandatory social distancing and hand-washing. Masks are required when social distancing is impossible.
As of Thursday evening, the city has 602 confirmed coronavirus cases, but case growth has slowed dramatically.
