Woburn's Most-Read Story Of 2020: First Coronavirus Quarantine
Crime, restaurant openings and closures, protests and other topics were major stories. But none beat the virus.
WOBURN, MA — On March 10, 2020, Woburn did not have any confirmed coronavirus cases. Schools were still open. Statewide, there were fewer than 100 confirmed cases.
That day, a Shamrock Elementary School student went into self-quarantine, after being in contact with a presumed positive six days earlier and Superintendent Matthew Crowley canceled all field trips in the district.
